M.V. Porcelain Surge Arresters are used in station and distribution systems to guard against atmospheric (particularly lightning influence) and operational situations that could harm transformers and other equipment. 
When energy systems experience typical surges, metal oxide surge arresters without gaps are intended to stop potential damage while having no adverse effects on the systems during normal voltage operation. The unique quality of gapless arresters stems from the non-linear properties of metal-oxide varistors in the voltage and current scales. The non-linear characteristic is significantly greater than that of silicon carbide surge arresters.

NORMAL SERVICE CONDITIONS

 1.The ambient temperature: -40°C ~+40°C
 2.The altitude above sea level :not exceed 1000-2000m (the altiplano area should be indicated when order)
 3.Earthquake intensity: not higher than 7 degrees;
 4.Maximum wind velocity :less than 35m/s.
 5.The filthy area should be given clear indication.

PRODUCT FEATURE

The world's most sophisticated over-voltage protection is the zinc oxide surge arrester. Because zinc oxide arrester is mostly used to manufacture the resistor disc of the core component. This product's prescription significantly enhances the resistor disc's volt-ampere characteristics and boosts its through-current capability at over-voltage in comparison to the traditional silicon carbide arrester, resulting in a radical local shift in the arresters' characteristics.
