M.V. Polymer Surge Arresters are used to protect transformers and other equipments in station and distribution systems against the damage by atmospheric (especially lightning effects) and operational conditions.
Oxides of metals Gap-free surge arresters are made to guard against potential damage from common energy system surges, but they don't harm the system when operating at normal voltage. The unique quality of gapless arresters stems from the non-linear properties of metal-oxide varistors in the voltage and current scales. In comparison with silicon carbide surge arresters, the non-linear feature is substantially higher.

NORMAL SERVICE CONDITIONS

 1.The ambient temperature: -40°C ~+40°C
 2.The altitude above sea level :not exceed 1000-2000m (the altiplano area should be indicated when order)
 3.Earthquake intensity: not higher than 7 degrees;
 4.Maximum wind velocity :less than 35m/s.
 5.The filthy area should be given clear indication.

PRODUCT FEATURE

The zinc oxide lightning arrester is the most advanced over-voltage protector in the world. Due to make the resistor disc of core component mainly adopt zinc oxide arrester. Compared with the conventional silicon carbide arrester, this   prescription of the product improves greatly the volt-ampere characteristics of the resistor disc and increase through- current capability at over-voltage so as to bring a rad local-changes for the characteristics of the arresters.
