OPGW 48 Cores Aluminum Tube Layer Warping Core Type OPGW Cable, also known as optical fiber composite overhead ground wire, is a dual-function optical cable that can not only perform the task of ground wire, but also provide a path for transmitting voice, video or data signals. Fiber optic cables are designed to be installed on power transmission and distribution lines. Optical fibers are protected from environmental conditions (lightning, short circuits, loads) to ensure reliable signal transmission.

48 Cores Aluminum Tube Layer Warping Core Type OPGW Cable

OPGW optical cable structure is mainly composed of optical fiber unit (stainless steel tube, aluminum-clad stainless steel tube) and metal monofilament (aluminum-clad steel, aluminum alloy) peripheral reinforcing ribs. There are 4 types of OPGW cables: ACS (Aluminum Clad Stainless Steel Tube), Stranded Tube, Center Tube and ACP (Aluminum Clad PBT).


Features

● Good corrosion resistance;
● The material structure is uniform, and the vibration fatigue resistance is good;
● Short-circuit current has little effect on optical fiber transmission performance;
● The non-metallic tube is placed in the aluminum tube. And it is separated from the metal monofilament when it enters the connector box. The end of the optical cable is easier to handle, especially the optical fiber splicing;
● The internal non-metallic tube reduces the risk of damage to the fiber connection when the edge of the metal tube moves compared to the edge of the metal tube.
