(1) The connection between the outlet stem and the cable core conductor must be firm and reliable. Under the condition that the normal load is allowed to be overloaded, the contact surface shall not be heated, and the cross-sectional area of the outlet steam shall not be less than 1.5 times of the cable core.
(2) Outdoor terminal head must have reliable waterproofing and should minimize the chance of air intrusion into the box along the joints.
(3) There are sufficient insulation level, sealing and mechanical strength.
(4) Other requirements are similar to cable joints.

The cable terminal is suitable for the manufacture and installation of outdoor terminal head of lead-package oil-impregnated insulated power cables with a cross-sectional area of less than 10 kV and a cross-sectional area of 240 mm².
And we should pay attention to the things as follows during connection:
⑴The installation process must be conducted in accordance with the relevant rules.
⑵ The construction site is guaranteed to be dry and clean, and the ambient temperature should generally be above 5 °C.
⑶ The cable head must be used after continuous cutting and stripping.
⑷ The distance between the upper part of the 6~10kV cable terminal and the grounding distance is above 200mm.
⑸ Lead (aluminum) work should be smooth and burr-free, and must be twisted with a special tool.
⑹ Semiconductors shielding paper should not expose the lead (aluminum) package bell mouth.
⑺ The wrapped insulation tape should be in the direction of the winding of the core insulation, and a half-clad package should be laid down. The insulation layer should be odorless and wrinkle-free.
⑻ aluminum core cable and terminal (or wiring stalk) connection: the use of crimping method.
⑼ Connection of copper core cable and terminal (or wiring stalk): The epoxy terminal is manufactured by crimping or welding. The stripping size of the wire insulation during welding should be the inner hole depth of the terminal and 15mm. The other three terminal head should be welded.
⑽ When using porcelain box and tripod cast iron box, the epoxy cable terminal should be installed before the lifting.
⑾ The installation of iron parts must be galvanized.

④ Cable lead (aluminum) work should ensure that the mouth is smooth and no burr, should not damage the package insulation, the special tool is used to form a flare, the bell mouth should be smooth, regular buckle symmetry. The shielding paper of the outer insulating layer shall not be exposed to the bell mouth.
⑤ The wrapped insulating tape should be wrapped in a half-folded bag along the winding direction of the wire core.
⑥ The connection between the aluminum core cable and the terminal is crimped, and the connection between the copper core cable and the terminal is welded or crimped. Except for the NTN type cable terminal head in the room, the wire core insulation cut length during welding is 15mm in the terminal hole depth and 5mm when crimping.
