Drop-out fuse is a kind of short-circuit protection switch commonly used in 10KV power grid. Its characteristics are economical and simple to operate. Because it is installed on the branch of the distribution line, it can reduce the scope of power outage, and has an obvious disconnection point. After the drop fuse has been used for a period of time, some problems will occur. In order to solve these problems, power outage maintenance is required.

Here is a brief introduction to what the drop-out fuse needs to be inspected during power outage maintenance:
    1. Check whether the contact between the moving and static contacts is consistent, and check whether the contacts have burn marks and whether they are tight and intact.
    2. Whether there is any abnormal condition such as rust in the rotating part, whether the rotation is flexible, whether the parts are damaged, etc.
    3. Check whether the drop-type fuse itself is damaged or not, and whether there is heat or not.
    4. Whether the arc suppression pipe in the melting pipe is burnt, and whether it is deformed after long-term sun and rain.
    5. Check the upper and lower leads of the drop fuse for signs of loosening.
