High-voltage fuses often blow due to overload, short circuit or power line resonance during work, so that the power supply line or equipment cannot work normally, and an alarm signal appears in the substation. Once the fuse is blown, the cause should be found out as soon as possible, and Take steps to replace the proper fuse.

The following items should be done when replacing the high voltage fuse:
(1) The operation of replacing the fuse must be carried out by two people, one operator and one guardian. Both the operator and the guardian should wear insulating boots and protective glasses. The operator should also wear insulating gloves. If necessary, they should stand on insulating mats or insulating on stage.
(2) Before replacement, safety measures should be taken according to the regulations, and the switch of the incoming direction of the circuit where the fuse is located, including the switch or insurance in the secondary circuit, should be disconnected (to prevent the secondary side from feeding back to the high-voltage side), and Fully discharge the energy storage element in the fuse circuit to the ground, and hang the ground wire on the side close to the fuse in the direction of incoming electricity.

(3) When oxidative corrosion or damage is found during maintenance and inspection of the melt, the new melt should be replaced in time.

(4) When replacing the fuse in the voltage transformer circuit, the corresponding relay protection or automatic device should be canceled to prevent the relay protection or automatic device from malfunctioning, causing personal or equipment accidents.

(5) Before replacing the melt, check whether the specifications and shape of the new melt are consistent with the replaced melt, and use a multimeter to check whether the fuse is normal.
(6) The replaced or newly installed melt must not have mechanical damage.
(7) After the replaced fuse is put into operation, check whether the voltage or ammeter indication of the circuit where it is located is normal. For the fuse in the voltage transformer or transformer circuit, pay attention to whether the equipment in the circuit is operating normally and whether there is any abnormal sound. .
(8) When the blown high-voltage fuse is replaced quickly and blows again (that is, continuous blowing occurs), the circuit or equipment where it is located should be repaired or tested.

(9) It is forbidden to replace the fuse during lightning weather.
