2.Installation location of the arrester: The arrester should be installed close to the distribution transformer and reliably connected to the upper and lower ends of the line and the grounding device. Lightning arresters should be located near distribution transformers to provide rapid response to overvoltages from the lines.

3. Grounding of the arrester: The grounding wire of the arrester should be directly connected to the distribution transformer shell, and then the shell is connected to the earth. The ground wire should be shortened as much as possible to reduce residual voltage.

4. The connection method of lightning arresters: The connection between lightning arresters is usually made by double-sided tape, which is pasted on the corresponding equipment casing. For example, when the lightning protection belts and grounding busbars pass through settlement joints and expansion joints, a margin should be reserved to avoid breaking the lightning protection belts or grounding busbars due to deformation.

6. Installation dimensions of the arrester: The installation dimensions of the arrester should follow the manufacturer's specific guidance, including the installation height of the arrester base, the fastening method of the arrester elements and the grounding method of the arrester.
