Internal structure of lightning arrester

The internal structure of a lightning arrester usually includes the following main parts:

1. Shell. The external protective structure of a lightning arrester, usually made of metal or synthetic materials, provides mechanical protection and insulation.

Metal oxide varistors. The core component of the lightning arrester has excellent electrical properties and can increase the voltage to thousands of volts in a very short time, thereby protecting the connected equipment.

2.Inner core. Made of needle-shaped or tubular metal material, it is used to guide current into the interior of the arrester.

3.Filler. Usually zinc oxide particles or similar materials with high dielectric constant and conductivity, used to absorb electrical energy and release it.

4. Lead wire. The current is introduced into the arrester. Different arresters have different lead forms, some are inserted directly, and some are welded on the circuit.

5. Insulation part. Including arrester core rod, outer tube and porcelain sleeve, etc., used to provide electrical insulation.

6. Protection part. Includes geometric enclosures and other accessories such as support frames, ground wires, connectors, etc. to protect the arrester from external damage.
