High voltage fuses can be divided into fuses for protecting transformers, voltage transformers, power capacitors, semiconductor components, motors, and household appliances based on the different protection objects.

High voltage fuses can also be divided into indoor high-voltage current limiting fuses and outdoor high-voltage current limiting fuses based on their different structures.

The rated voltage level of indoor high-voltage current limiting fuses is 10kV, and commonly used models include RN 1, RN 3, RN 5, XRNM 1, XRN T1, XRN T2, XRN T3, etc.

The rated voltage level of outdoor high-voltage current limiting fuses is 3-35kV, and commonly used models include RW 10-35/100.

High voltage fuses can also be divided into backup fuses, universal fuses, and fuses for full range protection based on their breaking capacity and characteristics. The backup fuse can break any fault current between 3 to 4 times the rated current of the fuse tube and even the maximum rated breaking current. The universal fuse can break any fault current from the operating current within one hour to the rated maximum breaking current. The fuse for full range protection can break any fault current of any size from the minimum operating value to the maximum switching capacity.
