How to clean glass insulators?

Do you know that if the glass insulator is dirty and contaminated, it will affect the line? Therefore, it is necessary to clean glass insulators regularly. What are the methods for cleaning glass insulators?

Methods as below:

1. Flushing with charged water is one of the effective measures to prevent insulator fouling. Electric water flushing can be divided into three types: large, medium and small water flushing according to the diameter of the water gun nozzle. According to the regulations: those with nozzle diameters below 3mm are classified as small water flushing, those with nozzle diameters of 4 to 8mm are classified as medium-sized water flushing, and those with nozzle diameters above 9mm are classified as large-scale water flushing.

2. Rotating brush cleaning: The rotating brush is a cleaning tool for tempered glass insulators. The tool consists of a rotating brush and an insulating operating rod. The rotating brush is divided into upper and lower parts. The opening of the upper part allows the steel cap of the insulator to pass through, and the opening of the lower part allows the ball head rod under the insulator to pass through. The upper and lower pieces of the rotating brush are equipped with bristles and connected together using three bolts with pressure springs. The pressure spring can be adjusted according to the thickness of the insulator shed.

When in use, the rotating brush is installed on the operating rod and inserted into the porcelain skirt of the tempered glass insulator. The pressure spring clamps the upper and lower brushes flatly on the insulator. Operate the electrician to push and pull the rotating brush to achieve the purpose of cleaning the insulator. However, this kind of brush can only clean the scum of the current year, and the cleaning effect of years of accumulated dirt is not obvious.
