What does the insulating silicone grease in the cable piercing clip do?



Insulating silicone grease plays the role of lubrication, insulation, sealing, shockproof, partial discharge or internal flash suppression, etc., so as to improve the reliability and service life of the product.

High-performance insulating silicone grease is developed for the special requirements of high-voltage insulator coatings. It is refined from high-quality silicone compounds, ultra-pure insulating fillers and added functional additives. It has excellent high-voltage resistance, waterproof, and anti-creepage performance. It is designed for high-voltage cable connection systems above 10KV and electrical equipment. Insulation, sealing lubrication and moisture resistance, and can reduce the aging of the material surface caused by unstable weather. It can be well compatible with silicone rubber, will not swell, and solve the problem that it is difficult to pull out; it can prevent galvanic corrosion, has good circuit contact, is safe and reliable, and improves the breakdown voltage; excellent oxidation stability and anti-aging ability, excellent Anti-corrosion protection; non-toxic, odorless, non-irritating, fully in line with environmental protection requirements; relatively economical, can fully meet the requirements of protecting contacts and prolonging service life.

The insulation piercing clip is mainly composed of reinforced shell, piercing blade, sealing gasket, waterproof silicone grease, high-strength bolts, torque nuts and cable terminal caps.

When the cable needs to be branched or connected, insert the terminal of the branch line of the cable into the waterproof terminal cap. After determining the branch position of the main line, use a socket wrench to tighten the torque nut on the wire clamp. The contact blade will pierce the cable insulation layer during the process. In contact with the conductor, the gasket ring presses around the location where the cable is pierced, and the silicone grease in the housing overflows.When the torque reaches the set value, the nut torque mechanism falls off, the main line and branch line are connected, and the waterproof performance and electrical effect reach the parameters required by the standard.
